Women's Ministry
The Women In Action Ministry is composed of single,
married, divorced and widowed females who are constantly in motion, steadily
progressing, always active and not dormant towards their mission in Advancing
God’s Kingdom. As its name suggests, this age group of women from 18 years
and up, seeks to strive towards individual accomplishments, fulfilling devout
assignments and corporately achieving goals.
These enthused women meet on Monday evening once a month, where there is a fellowship, time of sharing and moments of impartation. With its open door approach, women are encouraged to bring other women to experience a revolutionary moment that will change the course in their lives.
The Women In Action Ministry extends itself in a mentoring program available to single women known as W.O.W: Women Of Worth, which is taught by an Elder (Titus 2:3-5). This particular Ministry also gives of itself in Community Evangelism and is always prepared to pray for hurting souls.
Purpose & Function
Its initial intention is for women to become empowered to build up the life and spirit of other women. Though we may be different in our uniqueness, Psalms 139:14 clearly states that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made. Therefore, this Ministry also encourages women to develop their specialized gifts, given by God, which stimulates evident growth and expansion.
In pursuit to Advance God’s Kingdom, the Women In Action Ministry has also committed themselves to boost Church growth through scheduling various fundraising projects, such as concerts and fun walk; just to mention a few. These ventures have proven to be beneficial to all aspects and other departments of Universal Household of Faith.
Motto
Team Work! Everyone is an important team player and brings something to the game plan which facilitates this Ministry’s advancement. This is what makes our meeting fun and innovative, while at the same time, enhancing and fulfilling.
Annual Events
Each year the Women In Action Ministry engages in the following events:
- Easter Monday Family Beach Party: the women enjoy preparing the various scrumptious dishes for the Church families to enjoy.
- Women Weekend Retreat: this weekend get away is intended for women to take a break from the daily routine and let their hair down as they connect with other women. This retreat usually occurs on the Friday and Saturday before Mother’s Day and concludes with all the women gathering together on Mother’s Day in worship.
- Conference or Seminar: this spring season event motivates and empowers women to continue in their quest for the things of God while maintaining their roles effectively in their homes, on their job and in their communities.
